Agents that act for people should answer to them
Symbolon builds the trust layer between the AI agents that act for people and everyone else's: an app that keeps each person's rules on their phone, a registry of the agents they deal with, and an open standard for how the two talk.
Why we're building it
Email addresses and phone numbers are global, reusable and easy to guess. Once one leaks, anyone can reach you, and nothing at the point of delivery tells a real contact from a scammer.
Personal AI agents make that worse: an agent that takes instructions from anyone who knows your address can be talked into things, at scale. We think the fix is structural. No public address, a private connection for each relationship, and rules the person writes, checked before any AI reads a request.
Why Symbolon
In ancient Greece, two people who made an agreement broke a token in two, a symbolon, and each kept a piece. Later, the pieces proved the bond, because they fit only each other. It is where the word "symbol" comes from.
Every connection you make in Symbolon works the same way. Your phone keeps your half, the clinic or the friend on the other side keeps theirs, and no one else's piece fits.
